RALEIGH – Fifth-ranked NC State women’s tennis will spend some time in the sunshine state as they play three consecutive matches in Florida over the next week. The board opens up with the first match at No. 18 Miami tomorrow Friday, March 10 at 12 p.m., followed by No. 48 Florida State on Sunday the 12th also at 12 p.m.

Last Time Out:
This past weekend the Wolfpack hosted Georgia Tech on Friday, resulting in a close 4-3 win. In addition to hosting Clemson and East Tennessee State on Sunday which ended in a 6-1 and 7-0.
Rankings Update:
Although they won each match to go 3-0 for the weekend, the team dropped one spot to No. 5 in the country in the ITA rankings.
The ITA released updated singles and doubles rankings on March 7th which continued to hold five Wolfpack members in singles and two pairs in doubles. Alana Smith moved up to No. 9 in singles, making it her highest singles rank in career history. She is followed by Amelia Rajecki at No. 18, Diana Shnaider at No. 35, Abigail Rencheli at No. 55, and Sophie Abrams at No. 123. In doubles, Miller and Rajecki remained in the top-10 at No. 9 and Smith and Shnaider moved up into the top-25 at No. 23.

After playing at Miami and Florida State this weekend they will be headed back to Florida next weekend to take on the University of Central Florida Friday, March 17.
